Coronavirus
If you are unwell with COVID-19 symptoms and need medical advice, contact the Practice when we are open and only call 111 when the Practice is closed.
Please do NOT attend the Practice unless you have a pre-arranged appointment. Prescription requests and samples should be left at the station provided at the front entrance to the hospital.
From Wednesday 5th October staff and patients are no longer required to wear face coverings in non-clinical areas and the 2-metre physical distancing has also been removed in non-clinical areas. However, staff and patients are still required to continue to wear Fluid Resistant Surgical Masks (FRSM) and adhere to 2-metre physical distancing in clinical areas. Patients are asked to be respectful of those individuals who may wish to continue to wear face coverings or maintain a 2-metre physical distance, particularly those in high-risk groups.

Vaccinating Children Aged 5 – 11 years
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) now advise that all children aged 5-11 are offered the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine. NHS Scotland are making plans to invite all eligible children for vaccination. Please see NHS Inform and wait to be contacted.
Covid and Flu Vaccination Winter Boosters
If your query relates to COVID-19 Winter boosters or Flu Vaccinations, the Practice staff will not be able to answer your questions. The local vaccination programme is being led by NHS Fife rather than by individual medical practices and patients are being offered appointments in order of the priority set out by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).
For information on how to obtain your vaccines, visit www.nhsinform.scot or www.nhsfife.org/coronavirus
Vaccination Passports
As per the NHS/Scottish Government guidance, please do not contact the Practice to ask for a Covid Vaccination Passport or status certificate – we will not be able to provide a letter showing your vaccination status. Instead you should visit www.nhsinform.scot
Coronavirus Treatment
Getting your Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself from the virus. There are additional treatment options for selected groups of people with Coronavirus who are thought to be at greater risk. If you have been identified as eligible for Coronavirus treatment, you will have been sent a letter by NHS Fife/Scottish Government informing you of how to access this in the event you test positive. This is not a treatment that the Practice can prescribe or administer. Further information on how you can access treatment if you are eligible can be found at www.nhsinform.scot/coronavirus-covid-19-treatments
COVID Vaccine Exemption Certificates
The Practice has no direct/patient facing role in the clinical vaccine exemption process in Scotland. Persons eligible for exemption are being identified centrally. For full information please follow this link nhsinform.net/nhs-scotland-covid-status
